Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the British Lourdes Nurses Association.

The BLNA was founded in 2001 with the approval of the Catholic Church of England, Wales and Scotland. Its aim is to enable nurses who accompany sick pilgrims to Lourdes to meet together as a professional body.

The Aim of the Association

The British Lourdes Nurses Association is devoted to the service of all pilgrims that require nursing care whilst on pilgrimage, and all that this encompasses. It aims to support and update knowledge for all pilgrimages.

The principal aim of the association is to provide the facilities for members to meet together to discuss Nursing and Medical issues along with logistical and spiritual matters relating to Lourdes, for their own benefit and that of their associated pilgrims. This is done through meeting together and through the website.

Objectives of the Association

The Association works in collaboration with other interested parties including the Association of British Lourdes Pilgrimage Hospitalities (ABLPH), the Lourdes Medical Association (LMA), the Medical Bureau and the Pilgrimage Directors.
